ANTI WRINKLE FOODS. WHAT IS COLLAGEN. WHAT IS VITAMIN K FOR. THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF SWEET POTATOES

ANTI WRINKLE FOODS

WHAT IS COLLAGEN

WHAT IS VITAMIN K FOR

THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF SWEET POTATOES
SWEET POTATOES

SWEET POTATOES: A vegetable packed with cholesterol-lowering fiber, beta carotene, other compounds and also helps clear up our arteries
The purple/ blue in sweet potatoes are due to anthocyanin is believed to be good for a haelthy heart and hinder tumor cells progression. Antocyanin accelerate body cells turnover, thus when our body cells are renewed faster, this means the cancer cells die faster...
The orange color variety contains beta carotene, another great antioxidant. Carotenoids can offer protection against some cancers, macular eye disease and cardiovascular problems
I was really amazed when i read the findings from the Center for Science in the Public Interest, on the nutritional value of sweet potatoes, as compared to other vegetables.

Their study: on the vegetables is based according to their fiber content, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins A and C, iron and calcium.

Their Results: The sweet potato ranked highest in nutritional value- 184 points

Next, number two  is, the common potato, earns - 84 points

Sweet potatoes earned 100 points more than the number two (84 points), the common potato. What a great difference. Other vegetables, must be much less. With this new found knowledge (for me) i am determined  to eat more sweet potatoes than ever. It is a very flavorful food ingredient.

In the 4:1 ratio of veggies to other foods, we may include 1 to 2 servings from  fruits and that they can be combined with vegetables for the most part.

RECIPE- EXTRA SIMPLE DESSERT,
YET VERY NUTRITIOUS AND FLAVORFUL

Wash and clean thoroughly sweet potatoes. Boil in water with some salt added. Serve with syrup for a sweet taste.

Use organic  palm or cane sugar to make the syrup  and add in a few cloves  when boiling it
What do you eat with your boiled sweet potatoes?
VITAMIN K

 SOME FACTS TO NOTE:

-Taking broad-spectrum antibiotics can reduce vitamin K production in the gut by nearly 74% (in human body).

-For the elderly there is also a reduction in vitamin K2 production in the body. link here

-Vitamin K may be used as a 5% cream, to diminish postoperative bruising from cosmetic surgery and injections.

-Also used to treat broken capillaries (spider veins)

-To help fade hyper pigmentation and dark under-eye circles
Vitamin K and cancer:

-Researchers in Japan did a two year study on vitamin K2  in the prevention of bone loss in females with liver disease. They also found that women in the vit K supplement group were 90% less likely to develop liver cancer

-A German study performed on men with prostate cancer found a significant benefit in vitamin K2 consumption.

I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT TIP FROM JASNA, WHO WAS IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, WHICH I FEEL HAS TO BE PUBLISHED, FOR ALL TO SHARE...
"Lots of essential tips for looking good and feeling well, Wan... Vitamin K is also needed for blood clotting; without it, even small cut in skin can lead to excessive bleeding.
Thank yo so much Jasna.. Her  link here

WRINKLE PREVENTING FOODS

Vitamin C  helps to produce collagen in the body,  keeps the skin from direct sunlight attack. link here

PAPAYA: very beneficial in reducing wrinkles. Papaya has high level of vitamin C, in every 100 grams of papaya contains 78 milligrams of vitamin C that can help to rejuvenate the skin and prevent dryness.

WALNUT: and other kinds of nuts contain vitamin E, which is essential for the skin. It will rejuvenate your skin.

WHEAT: contains magnesium and vitamin B which are helpful for skin regeneration. Magnesium and vitamin B replace dead skin cells with new skin cells

FRUITS AND VEGETABLES: They are very good for skin health. Fruits and vegetables are sources of vitamins and fiber needed by skin. Also help digestive system to work, so that no toxin remains in the body.

COLLAGEN:

Collagen nourishes the skin from the inside,
This renewal of skin cells will help maintain the highest level of skin texture,  strengthen skin tissues, prevents dehydration (drying) and thus reduce wrinkles.

Collagen also helps repair joint tissues and also in the formation and repair of bones.

Vitamin C is a must in the production of collagen.

COLLAGEN CANNOT BE PRODUCED WITHOUT VITAMIN C.

Collagen occurs in many places throughout the body. Over 90% of the collagen in the body, however, is of type one.
So far, 28 types of collagen have been identified and described.
The five most common  are:
Type 1:  skin, tendon, vascular ligature, organs, bone (main component of the organic part of bone)

Type 2:  cartilage (main component of cartilage)

Type 3: reticulate (main component of reticular fibers), commonly found alongside type I.

Type 4: forms bases of cell basement membrane (eye lens, kidney)

Type 5:  cell surfaces, hair and placenta
Collagen-related diseases most commonly arise from genetic defects or nutritional deficiencies.

  13. Sweet potatoes in our traditional sweet delicacikueh, keria, badak or simply fried are my alltime favourites.

When I was in the jungle, we grew this just outside my kitchen.

Freshly dug and simply boil with mixture of other green veges (kangkong/pucuk manis/long beans/baby corns/onions) plus some anchovies.. ummmph!

Tks for highlighting its health benefits!

  19. Avascular necrosis is a disease resulting from the temporary or permanent loss of the blood supply to the bones. Without blood, the bone tissue dies and causes the bone to collapse. If the process involves the bones near a joint, it often leads to collapse of the joint surface. This disease also is known as osteonecrosis, aseptic necrosis, and ischemic bone necrosis.

  20. I believe everything composed was actually very reasonable.
However, what about this? suppose you were to create a
killer post title? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added something to possibly grab a person's attention?
I mean "ANTI WRINKLE FOODS. WHAT IS COLLAGEN. WHAT IS VITAMIN K FOR. THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF SWEET POTATOES" is a
little plain. You should glance at Yahoo's front page and watch how they write news titles to grab viewers to click. You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab readers interested about everything've written.
In my opinion, it might bring your website a little livelier.
